Room 8 students walked 30 MILES in total during the summer school! One of the longest walk lasted about 50 minutes one way. You did a great job trying to maintain your body and mind healthy by keeping our routine.

School Year 2017-2018 will start on Wednesday, September 6th. The school hours will be 8:45-12:00 from September 6th to 8th. Please wait for the letter from Bridgeway House for the classroom assignment.

Have a relaxing rest of the summer!

We won $225!

We will be working on “claymation” in our movie class with the grant.

I am excited to be back in the  classroom with you all in a new location. We would like to work together to build a safe learning environment and to become a wise community participant.                                                                                                                             Akiko

One senior student graduated Bridgeway yesterday. Bridgeway’s first graduation ceremony was a moving event. We all will miss her very much.

The Field Day and the Talent Show were a lot of fun and proved that we have developed great social skills especially.

Congratulations, everybody, for your successful year at school!

Good job, Room6!

The drink/snack cart project will be gradually made into shape in September.

Students will study for and earn Food-Handlers Card, conduct research on the students’ and staff’s preference of time, prices, and kinds of snack and drink, purchase and prepare snack and drink, set up the cart or booth, sell the items, and keep the accounting book.

September in Room 10 has been a “critical thinking” and “group work introduction” month.

We have been learning the useful language to use in discussions, especially when we try to respect different opinions from others. We find the skills of “Active Listening” very important in any occasion. Let’s remind ourselves of what the useful language is in stating our opinion and what it looks like to “listen actively” to others.

We have done several activities for “critical thinking” mostly in Language Arts; We used pictures, short statements, graphic novels, and so on, to consider one topic with various perspectives. It is challenging, but we enjoyed discovering, again, individual differences.
