We will start our new school year as Room 9 upstairs at the 15th Avenue campus.

Our Open House will be on Tuesday, September 5th, between 10:00 and 12:00. Please come and meet our new team of teachers in Room 9.

Here is our team:

This is my 9th year at Bridgeway House. No wonder Room 9 students call me Ancient History! I feel very honored to have so many opportunities to witness how all of us grow in collaboration. Let us further grow and glow together. Akiko

I have worked in education for the past 8 years in Oregon and Japan. My interests include drumming, science, and being in the great outdoors. I look forward to joining the Room 9 team and continuing to work with the great community at Bridgeway House. Alex

I am currently a student at Northwest Christian University, and am majoring in mathematics. I have a long history of working with individuals with Autism, as well as with Bridgeway House. Sometime in the future I would like to pursue the field of aerospace engineering, and I love pretty much everything sci-fi! My hobbies include gaming, reading, piano, and sketching. Jonathan

I have 20+ years hands on experience teaching science to both regular ed and sped kids ages 4-20. I was a neonatal/pediatric nurse before teaching science. I am curious and love going with kids ideas to explore the question “what if” while being safe. I believe in unlimited potential of all kids and adults, the more I learn the more there is to learn. Sherri

I have worked in education for nine years, including three years as a special education teacher, four years as an assistant, and two years as substitute teacher in a variety of subjects. For the last three years I worked for the White Bird Clinic as a Crisis Counselor and Training Coordinator. My interests include music, hiking, reading, and meditation. I am very excited to be joining the team in Room 9!  Zack
